What I’m doing now
Last updated: October 26, 2024
This page shares what I’m currently working on and focusing on. If anything here resonates and you’re interested in collaborating, feel free to reach out!
Digital Marketer at LOJEL
Even though I have side projects, I still enjoy my 9-to-5 role. I work for LOJEL, a carry essentials brand, supporting email marketing, data analytics, and conversion rate optimization.
Lately, I’ve been incorporating my experience from hosting events and workshops into my career. I enjoy teaching colleagues how to use data to solve problems, exploring various marketing tools, and leading workshops.
Connect Changemakers with Transformative Experiences
Casual Tech Meetup is a community I founded in 2022, and this year marks our second anniversary! My goal is to curate events that bring people from diverse disciplines together, fostering an exchange of ideas and perspectives on innovation and growth.
We collaborate on workshops and events with co-hosts from various fields. I work to integrate Casual Tech Meetup’s core elements—small group gatherings, collaborative co-hosting, and human facilitation—into each event, creating meaningful experiences for our community members.

Building a Free Email Course
After a conversation with one of my favourite indie builders, Kevon Cheung, I took his course and decided to create a free 5-day email course, aiming to launch it by year-end.
The topic: Become a Superconnector: Accelerate Your Career Growth by Creating a 5-Person Community
What is this course about: Many people believe that becoming a leader in your industry requires decades of experience. But what if you could gain influence more quickly by connecting people across different fields and actively introducing them to each other? That’s exactly what superconnectors do.
In this course, you’ll learn how to build a small community of five, fostering meaningful connections. This approach helps grow your influence and propels your career forward.
I distil everything I learn from running events and connecting people into a bite-size email course. Everyone can build a 5 person community after taking this course.
Hosting Events and Workshops for Friends
I occasionally host nonfiction book club and organize photo walks with friends. Every two months, we pick a book, and I design the workshop content and extercise to help us apply its lessons to our lives.
Photography was a side gig during university which I hosted neon-sign photo walks for tourists. I don’t have much time for it now, but I still enjoy doing it for fun. I’ve hosted a few walks for friends this year and hope to do more. We explore new neighbourhoods, take photos, and wrap up the walk with coffee.
Squash, Spinning, Classical and Jazz Music
I got into spinning when living in Kuala Lumpur last year, and I love it. It feels like a healthier version of clubbing, plus it’s great for improving my VO2 max (which increase my life span).
Squash is another favourite—it challenges me to think strategically during the match, anticipate opponents’ moves, and maintain control of the center court. It’s like playing chess with a racket. I’ve been taking lessons and participating in a squash league this year (and won 1st runner-up this summer), which means our team moves to the next division this winter.
I also enjoy classical music; I used to play piano and saxophone, and I attend live concerts about once a month. It is a stress reliever for me. Recently picked up more jazz music from second-hand CD stores, if you are into jazz, please recommend some CDs to me.
